AREAS OF EXPERTISE

ERP IMPLEMENTATION, DEVELOPER & PROJECT MANAGER

• Technical manager for the largest PeopleSoft Advancement 7.6 implementation. DB2/UDB, AIX. Minimal customizations required. Implemented a custom  “Audiences Building and Reporting” module integrated with the built-in Communications Tables and Panels. Over a million rows migrated from the legacy mainframe system for gift and pledge data.
• Implementation of EPM/Budgeting 8.8 with HR 8.0 and FDM 8.4, Informatica 6.1 and MicroStrategy 7.5 Responsible for implementing ETL and EW loading, troubleshooting, data scrubbing, and installation and creation of custom reporting solutions in MicroStrategy.
• Resolved crucial SQR performance problems running reports for Financials by designing and implementing a performance diagnostic program, appropriate indexes and code changes. In one instance, one report improved from taking 4 or more hours to run, to just minutes.
• Designed, coded and implemented a Student Administration reporting system using perl scripts, Oracle on Solaris, and MicroStrategy 7.5.
• One of a team of two implementing Work Force Rewards and Budgeting using PeopleSoft EPM 8.8. Responsible for custom ETL coding in perl  and production maintenance.
• Managed customizations and upgrades of the HRSA 7.5 implementation including conversion of historical HRM data, physical 3-tier, AIX 4.x, DB2/UDB 5.x, and PeopleSoft HE 7.5. Implemented in-house 403b administration module, benefits interfaces, payroll interfaces, person bio information interfaces to mainframe and non-mainframes systems. Customizations included modifications to JOB, POSITION, PERSON, and SALARY tables, among others. Customizations and data conversion accomplished using PeopleCode, SQR 4.3.x, MassChange, Import Manger, Crystal Reports, Rwiz, Convoy, and DB2 import/export tools. Managed the upgrade form Tools 7.53 to Tools 7.59.
• Designed and implemented a PeopleSoft application to track all customization and migration technical information and integrated it with the CA-Harvest Configuration Management/Version Control System. This system is in use in two parallel PeopleSoft implementations with separate development, test, upgrade, and production databases.

PROJECT MANAGER

• Implementation of Student Web Self Services-WebSphere, DB2/UDB, and Versata 5.x. Java J2EE including integration with legacy Student Web Self Services with 5M hits/month-Sybase, Perl/CGI, Apache, Linux.
• Implementation of Domino on 23 nodes SP AIX, 30K users, fail over on IBM SP & EMC Symmetrix, Notes and web clients. Domino services including, messaging, calendaring, directory services, and workflow. Largest Domino/Notes on SP/AIX in Higher Education.
• Responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring of engineering resource allocations, costs, schedules for upgrades and repairs of electric power plant systems. Projects included pre-outage projects with hundreds of activities, and dozens of integrated projects, dozens of engineers and support groups. Outage projects included thousands of activities, hundreds of technical resources and contractors in multiple shifts. Used Artemis, OpenPlan, and Primavera tools.
• Responsible for analysis, design and implementation of engineering project management and cost control software for four engineering departments. Developed and implemented a dBASE/dGE Graphics multi-user application for small work assignments integrated with OpenPlan based-load projects. System was used to manage work loads of up to 50 engineers on a weekly basis based on budgeted work orders. This system also tracked non-billable hours.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING & SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE

• Designed, coded and implelemted  a perl based ETL system for Student analytical reporting using on Solaris, Windows 2003 server, Sybase 11.
• Install, upgrade, administer, train users, create and maintain all objects and secutiry for University wide MicroStratgey 7.5 & 8.02 HF3 reporting sites for Budgeting, Human Resources, and Student Administration (MSTR on Windows Server 2003).
• Designed and implemented multi-tier design of Student Web Self Services-WebSphere, DB2/UDB, and Versata 5.x. Java J2EE, IBM B80’s/AIX 4.3.x.
• Responsible for application architecture, performance tuning, data and Business Rules Modeling for PeopleSoft applications in a physical 2 and 3 tier configurations.
• Designed and implemented software configuration management (CCC/Harvest) integrated with a native PeopleTools application to track all application changes and migrations.
• Designed, developed and implemented an Access multi-user application to manage Committee assignments and meeting schedules.
• Designed and developed a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) using ORACLE 7/stored procedures, UNIFACE 6, and InfoModeler.
• Designed and developed nuclear chemistry analytical software (Pascal, C and FoxPro) used to calculate and report analytical results to customers and regulatory agencies.
